LAHORE: At least 19 people were arrested with eight kilograms of hashish, 386-litre wine, two pistols and a gun recovered in a crackdown launched by the police, local media reported on Friday.
A local police official in Multan said that action against criminals was being vigorously pursued, with no tolerance for unlawful activities in the area.
All apprehended individuals were taken into custody from various areas of the district of Multan within 24 hours. The official said that FIRs have been registered against the accused and investigations are underway to arrest the main culprits. He encouraged the public to promptly report any suspicious activities to the authorities to ensure swift and effective actions.
