2 Dead, One Injured in Bus-Motorbike Collision in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Local officials said that two people were killed and one wounded in a road accident in Rawalpindi on Friday.  The accident occurred when a Rawalpindi-bound bus collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of two individuals on the spot and critical injuries to another.

According to rescue sources, the speeding bus struck the motorcycle as it took a sharp turn near the IGP road in Rawalpindi. The collision led to the fatalities, as reported by a private news channel.

Rescue teams promptly transported the deceased and the injured to a nearby hospital. After reaching at the spot, the police initiated a search operation for the bus driver, who had fled the scene shortly after the accident. Authorities confirmed the seizure of the bus and assured an ongoing investigation into the incident. —APP
