ISLAMABAD: Local officials said that two people were killed and one wounded in a road accident in Rawalpindi on Friday. The accident occurred when a Rawalpindi-bound bus collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of two individuals on the spot and critical injuries to another.
According to rescue sources, the speeding bus struck the motorcycle as it took a sharp turn near the IGP road in Rawalpindi. The collision led to the fatalities, as reported by a private news channel.
Rescue teams promptly transported the deceased and the injured to a nearby hospital. After reaching at the spot, the police initiated a search operation for the bus driver, who had fled the scene shortly after the accident.
