40 Killed, 62 Wounded in Rain-related Incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: PDMA

PESHAWAR: As many as 40 persons were killed and 62 wounded during rain that lashed different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa last week.

According to a report released by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), 555 houses were partially damaged and eighty houses were completely destroyed in rain-related incidents.

Most of the roof collapse incidents were reported in Malakand, Peshawar Mardan, and Lower Dir. About 99 cattle were also perished in various parts of the province.

Relief Activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has also directed providing help and assistance to rain-affected people.

Relief work has also been distributed among the victims on the directives of the newly elected chief minister. Rescue 1122, district administration and other concerned authorities are busy helping victims.
