PESHAWAR: In a significant operation conducted locally, a team of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority took action on Thursday by confiscating 8200 kg of inferior and spoiled chicken pieces and subsequently sealing a processing facility.

As per a spokesperson for the Food Authority, Deputy Director Zeeshan Mehsud, acting on a tip-off, led a surprise raid on a residence situated on Phandun Road, Chuha Gujjar. During the operation, the team uncovered 8200 kg of substandard and potentially harmful chicken parts from within a processing unit established within the premises.
