BAHAWALPUR: Hafiz Muhammad Shafeeq, the Deputy Director of the Agriculture Department in the Government of Punjab, emphasized the importance of timely fertilizer application for cotton growers in the Bahawalpur division. His remarks came during a seminar jointly organized by the Agriculture Department, Government of Punjab, and Fauji Fertilizer Company.
Addressing participants, Shafeeq underscored the significant role of agricultural scientists in advocating for the use of fertilizers, quality seeds, pesticides, and technology to achieve high yields of cotton. He highlighted the reputation of the Bahawalpur region for its exemplary cotton production, crucial for meeting the demands of the local industry.
Shafeeq urged cotton growers to adhere to timely fertilizer application schedules to ensure optimal cotton production. By doing so, he emphasized, growers could contribute to achieving satisfactory yields and sustaining the region’s reputation for cotton cultivation excellence.
