ISLAMABAD: Professor Ahsan Iqbal, Minister of Planning, development, and Special Initiatives, has stressed the need to gain knowledge in the field of digital development to keep up with the modern world’s growth pace.

He said at an EDTECH conference on Friday that the digital revolution is altering every aspect of life in today’s world, whether it is our way of living, receiving an education, doing work, or the government structure. As a result, there is a need for such a human resource that completely realizes its potential and achieves unparalleled capabilities in the sphere of digital technology.

According to the minister, nations that embraced the digital revolution experienced success and progress, while those that did not embrace it, faced failure. According to Ahsan Iqbal, there is a need to match the country’s education system with rapidly changing technological trends in order to generate educated and skilled manpower capable of meeting international standards and gaining a fair part of global markets. He believed that creativity and invention were the keys to accomplishing the necessary development goals and that human resources with ‘critical thinking’ were required to keep up with the pace of digital technology. —APP
