AJK President Extols Overseas Community for Highlighting Kashmir Issue

MIRPUR: President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has said that Pakistani and the Kashmiri community abroad have always played a vital role in highlighting the Kashmir issue at the international level.

He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Kashmiris abroad who visited him at the Jammu and Kashmir House here on Friday.

The President praised the important role of the immigrant community in keeping the Kashmir issue alive at the international level saying the immigrant community has always been at the forefront of serving the cause of Kashmir.

Referring to the deterioration of the political and human rights situation in the Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir region, Chaudhry said that the rapidly deteriorating situation in the region deserves the immediate attention of the international community.

The delegation comprised of Honorary Adviser to the President on Kashmir Affairs Chaudhry Farooq Ahmad, Qayyum Sabri, Zia Gorsi, Chaudhry Shiraz Farooq, Advocate Zaheer Ahmed, and Sajid Ali Chaudhry. —APP
