Amir Thanks Maryam Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: Mohammad Amir, the Pakistani cricketer has thanked Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her intervention in a recent incident to address his grievances. The incident took place during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match.

Initially, Amir had accused the Deputy Commissioner of Multan of mistreating his family members at the stadium. He has requested Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to take action against the police misbehavior. In response to his public complaint, Maryam Nawaz reportedly reached out to Amir to resolve the case.

In a statement via social media, Amir said that the Deputy Commissioner of Multan had resolved the misunderstanding, extending his best wishes to him, and thanked the CM for her prompt response.

The incident occurred on February 26th during a PSL match, where the families of Mohammad Amir, Umar Amin, and Moin Khan were reportedly removed from the players’ box by district administration officials. The players and management of Quetta Gladiators strongly condemned the incident and urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to take action against such behavior.
