ANF Conducts Operation Across Pakistan

RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has successfully conducted an operation and dismantled a drug peddling network involved in supplying drugs to the students, local officials said on Wednesday. In a statement, ANF spokesperson said that two accused including a woman have also been arrested in the operation.

He disclosed that the arrested individuals were involved in supplying narcotics to a prominent educational institution in Islamabad. Acting on a tip-off, the woman was apprehended at the entrance of the educational institution while in possession of illicit substances.

One of the arrested suspects, who was apprehended alongside the female drug supplier, is employed in the canteen of the educational institution. Upon searching the suspect’s accommodation, authorities discovered quantities of hashish, opium, and additional quantities of methamphetamine.

The arrested woman hails from Nowshera, while the other suspect is a resident of Mansehra. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act, with further investigations underway.   —APP
