RAWALPINDI: During the past week, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) of Pakistan conducted a series of operations across the country, resulting in significant drug seizures and arrests.

According to an ANF Headquarters spokesman, a total of 32 operations were carried out, leading to the recovery of over 1215 kg of drugs and the apprehension of 36 individuals.

Among the notable achievements was the successful dismantling of a drug dealer group, with eight suspects arrested in simultaneous raids conducted in three major cities. This group was allegedly involved in the sale of CBD oil-laced vapes through online platforms.

During the operations, law enforcement officers seized vapes containing hashish oil, CBD oil, THC oil, as well as cigarette rolls made from the hemp plant. Additionally, marijuana oil, opium, and other illicit substances, including marijuana, were confiscated.

It was revealed that the accused individuals were exploiting e-commerce platforms to distribute drugs, disguising their illegal activities under the guise of selling natural products and medicines. Furthermore, they were reportedly importing prohibited items from foreign countries through cargo companies.

The ANF spokesperson emphasized the agency’s commitment to enforcing government regulations and standard operating procedures for online businesses. They also urged parents to discourage teenage vape use and encouraged citizens to remain vigilant about their children’s activities on online shopping platforms, advising them to report any suspicious behavior to law enforcement agencies promptly.

These operations underscore the ongoing efforts of the ANF to combat drug trafficking and protect communities from the harmful effects of narcotics.”
