ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) advocates for the amicable resolution of the Kashmir dispute, emphasizing its crucial role in fostering peace and prosperity in the South Asian region.

APHC spokesperson, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, underscores the necessity of addressing the core issue of Kashmir through sustained dialogue between India and Pakistan.

Expressing grave concern over ongoing house raids, search operations, and arbitrary arrests by Indian forces in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, APHC condemns the recent arrest of six youths on fabricated charges. Minhas reiterates that the path to peace cannot be achieved through militaristic approaches but requires a conducive environment facilitated by dialogue and mutual understanding.

Emphasizing the importance of political wisdom and maturity from leadership on both sides, APHC urges Pakistan and India to embark on a new journey towards securing the future of South Asia and humanity at large. Central to this endeavor is the resolution of the Kashmir dispute, respecting the aspirations of the oppressed Kashmiri people.

Despite India’s repressive measures to suppress the Kashmiri freedom movement, APHC asserts the resilience of Kashmiris in their pursuit of self-determination. The organization calls upon the United Nations Secretary-General to intervene and address the deteriorating human rights situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting the urgency of curbing Indian forces’ atrocities.

APHC’s advocacy for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute reflects a commitment to regional stability and the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people. By urging diplomatic engagement and international intervention, APHC seeks to alleviate the suffering of Kashmiris and pave the way for a secure and prosperous future in South Asia.
