APNIC, Senate Chairman Discuss Internet Connectivity in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC) Chairman Danish A. Lakhani held a significant meeting with Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani on Tuesday.

The discussion centered around crucial matters concerning internet development and connectivity, both in Pakistan and the wider Asia Pacific region.

It provided an invaluable platform for discussing the pivotal role of internet connectivity in today’s world, with a particular emphasis on extending this essential service to remote areas in Pakistan, especially in Balochistan.

Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani highlighted the immense importance of IT infrastructure development as a foundational driver of the nation’s progress. He emphasized the need to equip the youth with IT-related skills to stimulate innovation and foster economic growth.

In his address, the Chairman Senate stressed that connectivity is an indispensable element for modern economies, playing a vital role in socio-economic development and community empowerment. Pakistan’s 5G Spectrum Rollout Expected to Boost Economic Activity

Chairman Senate informed that Pakistan is currently in the process of launching the 5G Spectrum. He expressed optimism that this significant advancement will make a substantial contribution to generating much-needed economic activity in Pakistan.
