ISLAMABAD: Approximately 40,000 people thronged ‘Lake View Park’ with their family and friends this weekend, to enjoy parties after Eid ul Azha.

With its roomy location on the shores of Rawal Dam, the Lake View Park attracted more visitors than any other public park and picnic spot in the twin cities. Traditionally, people used to visit Nawaz Sharif Park and Ayub Park in Rawalpindi but it seems now that both the places have become overcrowded and there is little for people to enjoy over there.

There are also other attractions in the federal capital including the track up to Pir Sohawa and Japanese Park.
However, Lake View Park has all the facilities available at one spot, making it the most attractive place for visitors.

Thousands of partygoers including families and groups of youngsters belonging to the twin cities and surrounding areas thronged the limited public places in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Visitors also enjoyed boat rides in Lake View Park at the weekend. –APP
