Artificial Rainfall: Naqvi Lauds UAE’s Cooperation

LAHORE: Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has thanked the cloud-seeding team of the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) for their endeavours to induce artificial rainfall to reduce smog in the province. According to a press statement, the team called on the Chief Minister in Lahore. Ahmed Al Kamal, Head of cloud-seeding of the UAE team, Pilot Colonel Obaidhalf, Pilot Michael Anstas, Abdullah Al-Haman and Arnold Nangala met with the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the UAE’s cooperation, acknowledging it as the first-ever successful attempt at artificial rainfall in the history of Lahore. Naqvi said that the government appreciates the collaboration with the UAE, and reiterated the need for artificial rainfall to combat the challenge of smog.

The Chief Minister also awarded shields and certificates to the members of the UAE team for their efforts and support. He said that the entire Pakistan will not forget the successful experiment of artificial rainfall in Lahore.

He termed the stay and visit of the UAE team to Lahore as a historical example in Pak-UAE bilateral relations. Mohsin Naqvi warmly saw off the UAE team from the Chief Minister’s Office and once again thanked them.
