AHMEDABAD: Australia secured a resounding victory over India in the World Cup 2023 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, claiming their sixth title and showcasing their cricketing prowess. The Aussies not only lifted the glittering trophy but also earned a substantial $4 million from the total prize pot of $10 million, while India, the valiant runners-up, received $2 million.

In a grand ceremony, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the coveted trophy to the Australian captain as the team jubilantly celebrated their triumph in style. The winning moment marked a fitting conclusion to an intense and thrilling tournament.

The Australian team’s outstanding performance was not only recognized with the trophy but also with the sizable financial reward. The losing semi-finalists were also rewarded handsomely, each receiving $800,000.
