ISLAMABAD: An Islamabad court on Tuesday extended the physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Senator Azam Swati for another 4 days.
The court extended Azam Swati’s remand until 3rd of the next month. The local court also approved Swati’s application, exempting him from court appearance. Babar Awan, lawyer for Seantor Swati argued before the court that there were threats to Azam Swati’s life. He argued that the former federal minister be exempted from court appearance. The honourabnle Judge, however, maintained that Azam Swati’s virtual appearance in the court must be ensured.
