KARACHI: Governor of Punjab Balighur Rehman warned on Tuesday that if the security situation in the province worsened, governor rule may be imposed.

Addressing a ceremony at the Dow University of Health and Sciences (DUHS) in Karachi, he said that after the attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman in Wazirabad, protesters vandalized the Governor House and a created law-and-order situation.

“They burned doors of the House which is intolerable”, he said.

The governor further said that due to prevailing uncertainty in the province, security arrangements have been handed to the Rangers.
