QUETTA: In a stern warning, Balochistan’s caretaker, Minister for Information, Jan Achakzai, stated that if terrorist activities persist from Afghanistan, Pakistan will not hesitate to take action against terrorist hideouts on the Afghan side of the border.

Expressing concern over Afghanistan’s alleged provision of shelter and advanced weaponry to militants launching attacks inside Pakistan, Achakzai said that Pakistan cannot tolerate such activities.

Achakzai reiterated Pakistan’s strong stance against all forms of militancy and underscored that if the situation does not improve, Pakistan will conduct raids on terrorist hideouts to address the escalating issue. He pointed to the connection between the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Afghan Taliban, citing recent terrorist incidents.

Pakistan Initiates Diplomatic Engagements With Afghanistan

Pakistan has initiated diplomatic engagements with Afghanistan at the Foreign Office level and is actively working on repatriation plans for illegal immigrants. Achakzai criticized what he perceives as a double game by Afghanistan in the ongoing situation.

The surge in terrorist activities in Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, is attributed to the TTP, which terminated its ceasefire in November of the previous year. The caretaker prime minister of Pakistan has linked recent attacks to the Taliban government in Afghanistan and its deportation policies.
