BEIJING: The Saudi Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission and China National Publications Import and Export Group Corporation have signed an agreement to host the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the guest of honor at the Beijing International Book Fair, to be held from June 19 to 23 in Beijing this year, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.
Culture Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, CEO Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission Dr. Mohammed Hasan Alwan, and other Chinese officials attended the event.
The Saudi participation in the international event is another step toward boosting the cultural exchange, enhancing cooperation in the field of literature, arts and culture, and promoting dialogue and boosting ties between the two countries.
Several other Saudi organizations will participate in the fair to highlight knowledge, heritage, and cultural diversity of the Kingdom through a diverse cultural program, including dialogue sessions, workshops, seminars, and artistic performances.
