WASHINGTON: Amid increasing international condemnation of Israel’s actions, many celebrities are using their platforms to raise voice against Israel’s brutality in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian-US model Bella Hadid recently criticized Israel’s apartheid government on her social media platform. Bella Hadid shared a video of an Israeli minister refusing the existence of the Palestinian people and replied by highlighting her own Palestinian heritage and denouncing the injustices suffered by Palestinian people.
Bella also shared a video from Arab media showing casualties in Syria caused by Israeli air attacks, expressing her outrage at the current violence. However, this is not the first time she has spoken out against Israel’s brutality.
After a deadly military offensive by Israel in response to a Hamas surprise attack, she expressed her concern for the situation and also confirmed that she and her family have received death threats due to criticism of Israel and their Palestinian heritage. She emphasized that she denies to be silenced by fear.
