QAMBAR SHAHDADKOT: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Monday accused the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) of resorting to rigging tactics ahead of the February 8 General Elections in the country.

As both political bigwigs eyeing the office of the prime minister, the PPP chairman accused PML-N of gradually sidelining its political opponents in a bid to come into power without having any electoral competition.

Addressing a press conference in Qambar Shahdadkot, Bilawal said that PML-N did not want to do fair politics, but it wanted to play alone by ousting all political opponents from the pitch.

He alleged that the returning officer had not allotted some PPP candidates an ‘arrow’ electoral sign after being pressurized by PML-N.

Bilawal announced to approach the election commission and courts to challenge the decisions.

In Punjab, PML-N was trying to take benefit of recent developments against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the PPP chairman said while referring to the apex court’s ruling that cost the Imran Khan-led party ‘bat’ symbol.

He said that there is now a contest between ‘arrow’ and ‘lion,’ the electoral signs of PPP and PML-N, respectively, in upcoming general elections.

Bilawal Bhutto Instructs PPP Workers

Prior to his press conference, Bilawal asked PPP workers to strongly resist and thwart conspiracies being hatched by PML-N.

He reiterated his opinion against any further delay in the general elections and said that if some people are still thinking of seeing a delay in the conduct of elections or trying to run away from the electoral battle, then they would face a big loss.
