Shameful Remarks by Indian Lawmaker
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, while expressing his regret in the Lok Sabha for the offensive remarks, admitted that he had not personally heard them. The incident also drew attention to the behavior of senior BJP member and former government minister Harsh Vardhan, who was seen laughing during Bidhuri’s offensive remarks.
Jairam Ramesh, a leader of the Indian National Congress party, strongly condemned the comments, stating that they not only insulted the sanctity of parliament but also offended every Indian citizen. He questioned why the BJP lawmaker responsible for the remarks had not faced suspension or disciplinary action.
