OUAGADOUGOU, Burkina Faso: A horrific series of attacks on three villages in northern Burkina Faso has resulted in the killing of an estimated 170 people, according to a regional prosecutor.
The attacks, which targeted the villages of Komsilga, Nodin, and Soroe, left numerous others wounded and caused significant property damage.
Survivors of the attacks report that women and young children were among the victims, raising concerns about the indiscriminate nature of the violence.
