California’s Senate Honors Pakistan’s Envoy for Strengthening Bilateral Ties

WASHINGTON: The State Senate of California has honored Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Masood Khan, with an award recognizing his efforts in bolstering the relationship between Pakistan and California, as well as the United States.

Ambassador Khan was presented with the Senate’s “Certificate of Recognition” during his inaugural visit to Southern California on Wednesday. The certificate, accompanied by a citation, acknowledges Ambassador Khan’s pivotal role in fostering trade, cultural exchange, and goodwill between Pakistan and California, as well as the United States as a whole.

The citation on the certificate reads, “In commemoration of the occasion of your inaugural visit to Southern California and in grateful recognition of your role in continuing the growth of trade, cultural exchange, and goodwill between the nation of Pakistan and the state of California and the United States of America.”

It further emphasized the enduring strength of the bonds between the two nations and lauds the contributions of the Pakistan-American community to the prosperity and cultural vibrancy of the region.

The citation concluded with a warm welcome extended to Ambassador Khan and expresses the California State Senate’s anticipation of continued collaboration with his office to further enhance bilateral relations and mutual prosperity.
