Cement Exports Up From 39.26% to $163.900m in 8 Months

ISLAMABAD: The exports of cement recorded a rise of 39.26 per cent during the first eight months of the financial year 2023-24, as compared to the exports of the corresponding months of last year, reported by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Wednesday.

According to the data, exports of cement from the country settled at US $163.900 million during July-February (2023-24) as compared to the exports of US $117.691 million during July-February last year.

In terms of quantity, the exports of cement also recorded an increase of 71.67 percent while moving up from 2,473,225 metric tons to 4,245,717 metric tons.

Cement Exports on Yearly Bases

Meanwhile, year-on-year basis, the exports of cement experienced a decline of 22.32 per cent during the month of February 2024 against the same month in the year 2022-323.

According to the data, on a month-on-month (m-o-m) basis, exports of cement went down by 10.05 percent during February 2024 against the exports of US $14.728 million in January 2024.
