ISLAMABAD: The mouth-watering Chicken Malai Tikka Gravy is one easy homemade recipe. Try the following Creamy Chicken Malai Tikka Gravy at home:
Ingredients:
Chicken (leg & thigh piece) 3-4
Yogurt 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Black pepper crushed 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
White pepper powder 1 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Green chili paste 2 tbsp
Butter 2 tbsp
Oil 1/2 cup
Water 1 cup
Onion paste 1 ½ cup
Green chillies paste 2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Green chillies (sliced) as required
Green coriander (chopped) as required
Directions:
- Take the chicken leg and thigh pieces and make deep cuts in them using a knife.
- Place the marinated chicken pieces in a bowl and add yogurt, ginger garlic paste, crushed black pepper, salt, white pepper powder, lemon juice, green chili paste, and dairy cream. Mix everything thoroughly.
- Heat some oil in a pan and add the marinated chicken pieces. Cook each side until the chicken is 70% done, then set them aside.
- In a pot, heat butter and oil, then add the onion paste and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add green chilli paste and ginger garlic paste, and continue to cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Stir in yogurt, crushed black pepper, salt, white pepper powder, water, and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the cooked chicken pieces and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Then cover and cook until fully done.
- Add dairy cream and mix it well. Turn off the flame. Place a heated piece of coal in an aluminium cup on the gravy, drizzle some oil on the coal, and cover the pot with a lid. Let it smoke for 1-2 minutes.
- Chicken malai tikka with smooth gravy is now ready. Garnish it with green chillies and fresh coriander before serving.
