ISLAMABAD: The China Scholarship Council (CSC) has announced a comprehensive scholarship program for Pakistani students and scholars. The initiative, announced by the Chinese government, designates the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan to manage these scholarships for the academic year 2024-2025.
The primary objective of this initiative is to provide research and study opportunities for Pakistani researchers and students in Chinese universities. The scholarship program covers disciplines ranging from bachelor’s and master’s to PhD degrees. The program aims to deepen the educational exchange between the two countries, further solidifying the longstanding friendship.
How to Apply for Chinese Scholarships

The China Scholarship Council, acting on behalf of China’s Ministry of Education, plays a pivotal role in managing the enrollment and administration of the Chinese Government Scholarship Program. To be eligible for the program for the academic year 2024-2025, applicants must possess a valid Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) or Higher Education Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) score obtained after January 01, 2022.
The scholarship program covers a wide array of academic disciplines, including Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, Economics, Legal Studies, Management, Education, History, Literature, Philosophy, Fine Arts, and more. Designated Chinese universities are set to offer these academic programs to scholarship recipients at all levels.
