BEIJING:  According to the International Tennis Federation (ITF), China is set to host the Davis Cup finals group stage matches for the first time in September. The Hengqin International Tennis Centre in Zhuhai will serve as the venue for one of the four groups, while the remaining three groups will convene in Manchester, Valencia, and Bologna from September 10-15.

Bologna and Valencia have been selected to host group stage matches for the third consecutive year, while Manchester will host them for the second consecutive time. The top two teams from each group will secure berths in the final eight, scheduled to take place from November 19-24 in Malaga, which also hosted the round last year.

Italy, the defending champions, and Australia, the runners-up from 2023, have earned direct qualifications for the 16-team group stage. Meanwhile, Britain and Spain have received wildcard entries.

The remaining 12 teams in the final group stage, emerging from qualifiers, comprise Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Slovakia, and the US.

The ITF announced that the draw to determine group placements will be held on Tuesday.
