BEIJING: China attaches high importance to promoting its ties with Pakistan and stands ready to jointly work to carry forward traditional friendship and advance practical cooperation between the two nations, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Monday.
We send our heartfelt felicitations to Asif Ali Zardari on his assumption as president, Wang Wenbin said in his regular media briefing.
He remarked that President Xi Jinping had already sent a felicitation message to President Asif Zardari on his oath-taking as the 14th President of Pakistan.
China Desires to Advance Practical Cooperation with Pakistan
The spokesperson reiterated that China attached high significance to promoting its relations with Pakistan and stands ready to work with Islamabad to carry forward traditional friendship, advance practical cooperation in different fields and upgrade China Pakistan All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership to build an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.
On March 10, Asif Ali Zardari, the Co-Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, took oath for the second time as the President of Pakistan after securing a majority in the presidential elections held on March 9.
