CJCSC Visits Pakistan National Aerospace Science and Technology Park

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, undertook a momentous visit to the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP), a groundbreaking project spearheaded by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

The purpose of this visit was to underscore the immense importance of this cutting-edge initiative and its potential to revolutionize the national landscape in the fields of aerospace, cyber, and computing.

Upon his arrival at the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park, the distinguished guest received a warm welcome from Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The occasion was graced by the presence of Principal Staff Officers, as well as high-level civil and military officials.

During his visit, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee was granted a firsthand look at the state-of-the-art infrastructure, research and development centers, and innovation hubs dedicated to emerging and disruptive technologies.

The Air Chief expounded on the park’s vision, which aims to establish itself as one of the world’s premier Aerospace, Cyber, and Computing clusters, fostering an environment conducive to cutting-edge design, research, and development. Addressing the gathering, the Chief of the Air Staff emphasized that the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park, under the patronage and support of the Government of Pakistan, has rapidly evolved through meticulous planning, dedicated efforts, and fruitful collaboration.

He extended his appreciation to General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, for their invaluable cooperation, collaboration, and personal commitment, which played a pivotal role in realizing the true potential of the NASTP concept.
