According to the Japan Securities Dealers Association (JSDA), on Wednesday, client information was compromised from Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities.

Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Co., Ltd. is the investment banking division of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Japan’s largest financial services firm by assets.

The securities firm sent some of its corporate bond issuers 499 cases of personal data from 401 clients, according to a statement from JSDA.

Cybersecurity has been a significant concern for businesses around the globe. Hackers have constantly sought ways to steal data or access sensitive information. They often target companies that rely heavily on their networks to conduct business. The result is a growing threat to both individuals and organizations. In recent leaks, Amazon’s personnel data from the previous year was disclosed, revealing that just one-third of the company’s new employees stayed for more than 90 days before leaving, being fired, or being laid off.
