CM Maryam Engages with Pink Games Players

LAHORE: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif  took an active part in the inaugural Chief Minister Pink Games closing ceremony held at a local gymnasium.

During the event, she presented trophies to the victorious teams, including Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) for their outstanding performance in athletics and basketball. Additionally, she distributed prizes and cash awards to 321 winning teams, showing her support for female athletes across Punjab.

The Chief Minister expressed her joy at the success of the athletes and congratulated them warmly. She also took the time to interact with the players, posing for photographs and embracing a young athlete who was moved to tears by the recognition. In her address, CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif praised the dedication and professionalism of the players, reaffirming her commitment to supporting women’s sports in Punjab.

She announced plans to expand sports facilities for females across the region and introduce initiatives such as a free motorbike scheme to empower young women. The Chief Minister’s presence and words of encouragement were met with enthusiasm and gratitude from the players and officials alike, demonstrating the impact of her support on the sporting community.
