MIAMI: Coco Gauff, ranked third in the world, acknowledged the challenge of overcoming her recent Miami Open defeat against Caroline Garcia.

Falling to Garcia in a fluctuating match during her hometown tournament in southern Florida, Gauff expressed her disappointment, stating, “Every loss weighs heavily on me, especially today’s where I believe I could have performed better and controlled the match, particularly after the second set.”

Despite the setback, Gauff finds solace in returning home, emphasizing the comfort of being in familiar surroundings. Looking ahead, the 20-year-old US Open champion is eagerly anticipating the claycourt season, declaring her participation in Stuttgart, followed by commitments in Madrid, Rome, and ultimately the French Open, aiming to make a mark on the upcoming tournaments.
