ISLAMABAD: National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) Thursday recommended using masks at healthcare facilities and crowded and tightly enclosed spaces.
NCOC issued the guidelines for the period up to 30 April 2023 keeping in view the current COVID-19 pandemic trend across the country.
NCOC guidelines come as NIH shares cases data
Meanwhile, health officials reported 129 new Coronavirus cases in the country during the last 24 hours.
According to the National Institute of Health (NIH) data, the case positivity ratio was 2.98%, while fourteen patients were in critical condition.
No death was reported from the virus in the last 24 hours while 4,334 tests were conducted.
In Lahore, 523 tests were conducted, of which 43 cases were confirmed with a ratio of 8.22%, while 225 tests were conducted in Rawalpindi, of which 3 cases were reported confirmed with a ratio of 1.33%.
In Islamabad, 14 cases were confirmed from 333 tests with a ratio of 4.20%.
Health minister Abdul Qadir Patel said the government had boosted the Border and Health Services role to deal with any sub-variant of Covid-19.
He said there was a strict surveillance system at all entry points of Pakistan, including airports. There will be screening and rapid tests of passengers at all airports.
