Crunchy Egg Fingers Recipe

ISLAMABAD: Introducing the crisp of  Crunchy Egg Fingers that are destined to become your kids’ next favourite snack. Experiment with creating these irresistibly soft on the inside and delightfully crunchy on the outside delights.

Ingredients:

  • 8 Eggs
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 4-5 tbsp Shredded chicken
  • 2 tbsp Spring onion

For coating:

  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Corn flour
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Mixed herbs
  • Cold water (as required)
  • Bread crumbs (for coating)
  • Corn flakes (for coating)

Method:

  1. In a bowl, combine eggs, salt, black pepper, and red chilli powder, whisking thoroughly.
  2. Grease the pan, pour the egg mixture, and place it in a steamer.
  3. Cover and cook on medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes.
  4. Open the lid, and add shredded chicken and spring onions to the egg mixture.
  5. Cover again and cook for an additional minute.
  6. Remove from the steamer and let it cool before cutting it into strips.

Coating Directions:

  1. In a separate bowl, mix flour, corn flour, salt, red chilli flakes, and mixed herbs thoroughly.
  2. Gradually add cold water, stirring to create a thick batter.
  3. In another bowl, combine bread crumbs and crushed corn flakes.
  4. Take an egg finger, dip it into the flour batter, ensuring an even coating, then coat it generously with the bread crumb and cornflake mixture.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and fry the fingers until they achieve a golden brown hue.
  6. Serve with ketchup and enjoy these crunchy egg fingers with your family.
