ISLAMABAD: “Dates k Laddoo” is a sweet treat made from dates, a healthy and natural sweetener.

The laddoos are typically made by combining finely chopped or blended dates with other ingredients like nuts, seeds, and sometimes ghee (clarified butter). This sweet is often enjoyed during festive occasions or as a quick and healthy energy bite.

Here’s a simple recipe for making Dates Laddoo:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pitted dates
  • 1 cup nuts (Dry fruits of your choice or a mix), finely chopped or crushed
  • 1/2 cup desiccated coconut (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Desiccated coconut for coating (optional)

Instructions

In a food processor, blend the dates until they form a smooth paste. If your dates are soft enough, you can mash them with a fork.

Roast Nuts

In a pan, heat ghee over medium heat. Add nuts, roast them until golden brown, and then crush them.

Combine Ingredients:

Combine the date paste, roasted nuts, desiccated coconut, and cardamom powder in a mixing bowl. Mix well.

Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into round laddoos using your hands.
