Delicious Orange Mousse Dessert Recipe

Ingredients

For Orange Puree:

  • 2 cups of Orange juice
  • 1/2 cup of Sugar
  • Slurry (4 tbsp of corn flour + 1/2 cup of water)

For orange mixture

  • 1 cup of Condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup of Orange juice

For mousse

  • 1 tsp of orange food colour
  • 1/2 tsp of Orange essence
  • Orange puree (as needed)
  • Orange pieces (for garnishing, as needed)
  • Mint leaves (for garnishing, as needed)

Directions

  1. Extract the juice from the oranges.
  2. Heat orange juice in a pan, add sugar and slurry and cook until it thickens.
  3. Let the mixture cool at room temperature and set it aside.
  4. In a bowl, combine condensed milk and orange juice to create the Orange Mixture. Set aside.
  5. In another bowl, beat the dairy cream until fluffy with stiff peaks. Note: Chill the cream overnight in the fridge and whip it with an electric beater. Note: Avoid freezing, as the cream won’t whip well after a temperature shock.
  6. Add the orange mixture, orange food colour, and orange essence to the whipped cream. Beat the mixture again.
  7. Create a layer of orange puree at the bottom of a glass and pipe the orange mousse on top.
  8. Orange Mousse is now ready to serve.
