Dominican Republic to Expand ‘Protection of the Humpback Whale’ to Preserve Ecosystem

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic: The government of the Dominican Republic announces the expansion of protected areas in the Caribbean to protect humpback whales and other marine species. “We are strengthening the connectivity of migratory species for the Caribbean and expand the protection of the humpback whale,” says Miguel Ceara Hatton, the Minister, Environment and Natural Resources of the Dominican Republic.
