ECC Approves Supplementary Grants Worth over Rs13b for Different Ministries, Divisions

ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on Wednesday approved supplementary grants worth over Rs13 billion for different ministries and divisions.

The ECC meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and attended by Federal Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar, Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Federal Minister for Power Khuram Dastagir, Minister of State for Petroleum Musadik Malik, advisors and other officials.

Technical Supplementary Grants

The ECC approved over Rs13 billion under differernt heads for the Ministry of Housing and Works for development schemes; Rs5 billion for Cabinet Division under Sustainable Development Goals; Rs1773 million for Ministry of Energy-Power Division for the execution of development schemes in Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa; Rs3.96 billion for the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training;           Rs130 million for the Ministry of Narcotics Control; Rs8 million for the Ministry of Narcotics Control and Rs6 million for the Revenue Division to meet the shortfall of budget grant of CFY 2022-23.

Last Monday, the ECC accorded approval of supplementary and technical supplementary grants worth Rs422.3 billion for various divisions.
