LAHORE: Former chief minister Punjab and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Pervaiz Elahi has decided to move Lahore High Court (LHC) against the police raid at his residence at Zahoor Elahi Road in Lahore.

As per details, advocate Amir Saeed Rawn stated that a contempt of court plea will be filed in the Lahore High Court against the Police raid. He maintained the police raid at the house of former chief minister was a violation of the court orders as the court had granted him bail in this very case.

Earlier, the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab team along with a heavy contingent of the Punjab Police on Friday raided Elahi’s house in Lahore.

At least 27 individuals, including servants working in the household of the former Punjab chief minister, were arrested by the police during the raid. The police entered the house after scaling the wall as police armoured personnel carrier (APC) broke the main gate of the residence.

The police officials also faced resistance while entering the house as people from inside pelted stones at them. It is pertinent to mention here that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had secured bail in the case where he was booked over ‘corruption’ charges amounting to Rs120 million by the Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE).
