ISLAMABAD: Ethiopian Ambassador Jemal Baker Abdula said on Wednesday that enhancing trade relations between Pakistan and Ethiopia was imperative.
During discussions with a delegation at the Embassy of Ethiopia in Islamabad, he reiterated Ethiopia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with Pakistan.
The founding chairman of the Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry, Khursheed Barlas, and the delegation visited the Embassy of Ethiopia, where Barlas briefed the ambassador Abdula about the events organized by the association in Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta.
Khurshid Barlas also expressed interest in organizing an Ethiopia Expo to boost trade relations with the African nation and mentioned plans for a trade delegation to Ethiopia to engage with industrialists and the business community regarding the Expo.
He expressed hope that the visit would enhance business relations between the two countries.
Ethiopian Airlines in Pakistan
Ambassador Jemal Baker Abdula said that Ethiopian Airlines are well received in Pakistan. Ethiopia is trying to connect the whole region by sharing its resources with friendly nations to ensure fair and equitable development in the entire region.
On this occasion, Ambassador Jemal Baker Abdula highlighted the positive reception of Ethiopian Airlines in Pakistan and Ethiopia’s efforts to foster regional connectivity and equitable development.
He said that the establishment of institutional links between Pakistan and African nations is indispensable for the fruits of Pakistan’s foreign policy related to Africa.
Jemal Baker Abdula mentioned past initiatives, including organizing trade delegations between the two countries aimed at strengthening cooperation among commercial institutions.
The envoy also held a detailed discussion on strengthening the cooperation between the commercial institutions of the two nations.
