Ethiopia, Pakistan Vow to Enhance Cooperation in Aviation Sector

ISLAMABAD: Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Pakistan Jemal Beker Abdula and Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Secretary Saif Anjum have discussed means to extend cooperation in aviation sector.

The two discussed various areas of mutual interests, focusing particularly on bilateral cooperation in knowledge exchange and technology transfer within the aviation industry during in a meeting in Islamabad.

On the occasion, Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula expressed his gratitude for the significant support extended by the Government of Pakistan as Ethiopian Airlines has started operation from Karachi.

He elaborated on the role played by Ethiopian Airlines in supporting Pakistan’s “Look Africa and Engage Africa” policies, aimed at strengthening government-to-government, people-to-people, and business-to-business relations between Pakistan and African countries.

He further underscored the growing popularity of Ethiopian Airlines among the people of Pakistan who have been fully appreciating the services offered by one of the largest airlines in the world.

On the other hand, Federal Secretary for Aviation Saif Anjum acknowledged the pivotal role of Ethiopian Airlines in fostering closer ties between Africa and Pakistan. He assured the ambassador of his institution’s support in furthering bilateral cooperation within the aviation sector.   —APP
