ISLAMABAD: The European Union Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Riina Kionka, called on Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb on Friday.
The Pakistan Finance Minister welcomed Dr. Kionka at the Finance Division.
During the meeting, Muhammad Aurangzeb appreciated the longstanding bilateral relations and development cooperation between the EU and Pakistan.
He also thanked the EU for its ongoing assistance in flood-affected areas of Pakistan.
Dr. Riina Kionka congratulated Minister Aurangzeb on his recent appointment and expressed eagerness to collaborate with the new government.
The Finance Minister briefed the EU Ambassador on the government’s key reform priorities and highlighted potential areas for mutual cooperation, such as digitization, enhancing export competitiveness, and improving livestock and dairy production.

In response, Ambassador Kionka acknowledged the government’s economic agenda and assured continued EU support for Pakistan’s development initiatives.
