EU and Central Asia Representatives to Meet in Bishkek for Afghanistan Talks

BISHKEK: On February 14, Bishkek will host the fifth meeting of the Special Representatives of Central Asian states and the European Union for Afghanistan, marking a crucial step in ongoing efforts to address the multifaceted challenges facing the region.

The meeting will bring together experts to discuss various aspects of the Afghan situation, including socio-economic conditions, humanitarian needs, and the fight against drug trafficking and international terrorism. With Afghanistan at the forefront of global concerns, the discussions aim to formulate effective strategies and collaborative approaches to tackle pressing issues.

Key participants at the meeting will include heads and representatives of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime in Kabul, underscoring the importance of international cooperation and coordination in addressing the complexities of the Afghan landscape.
