Exhibition on China’s Manned Space Programme Starts in Hong Kong

HONG KONG: The Hong Kong Science Museum hosted the opening ceremony of the China Manned Space Exhibition on Thursday, marking the first comprehensive display of China’s manned space development history and achievements to the Hong Kong society, as stated by the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA).

The exhibition, spanning two areas in the Hong Kong Museum of History and the Hong Kong Science Museum, features an array of carrier rocket models, including the Long March-2F, Long March-7, Long March-5B, and the new-generation human-crewed carrier rocket.

Visitors can explore models representing crucial flight components for upcoming human-crewed lunar landings, such as the new-generation human-crewed spacecraft and lunar lander.

A highlight of the exhibition includes showcasing the latest video capturing the in-orbit ignition for the return to Earth of the Shenzhou-16 spacecraft. This footage, filmed by the Shenzhou-17 crew, offers a unique perspective on the spacecraft’s journey.

The exhibition aims to provide an insightful and educational experience for visitors keen on delving into the advancements and milestones in China’s manned space exploration.
