LONDON: There is no solid evidence that Harry Potter’s author J.K. Rowling sold her mansion in the UK and bought a new flat in Moscow, Russia because of her critical views, contrary to what social media posts claim. A representative for the author termed the news as false.
A social media post contained a photo featuring an image of Rowling with the words “I got the right to be normal: J. K. Rowling bought flat in Russia,” to suggest Rowling sold her house in the UK and bought an apartment in Russia.
However, her spokesperson told Reuters that the posts on social media are not true and termed it is a fake news. There are no reliable news reports regarding Rowling buying property in Moscow. Reuters reported that there was no fact in the social media post about the author of Harry Potter.
