Fact Check: No Evidence of Trump Social Media Post Calling His Lawyer Inexperienced

WASHINGTON: There is no evidence a social media post attributed to Donald Trump calling his attorney, Alina Habba, inexperienced is actual.

The screenshot surfaced on social media following Donald Trump was ordered to pay $83.3 million on January 26 to writer E. Jean Carroll, who said Trump had destroyed her reputation.

The undated screenshot surfaced on different social media platforms. It appears as a Truth Social post, uploaded via Trump’s official handle (@realDonaldTrump), saying Habba “may have lost the case” and “may not have the experience that was required in this very high-profile case, perhaps higher profile than she ever thought she would be involved in at this point.”

FACT CHECK

However, the statement is not on Trump’s official website. According to Reuters, it did not find credible reports on the social media post, nor was it posted on Trump spokesperson’s X profile. A spokesperson for Donald Trump did not react over the matter.
