ISLAMABAD: Social media posts gaining traction on Facebook platform claim that Pakistan will confront with severe gas load shedding in the current winter season, as natural gas will just be available for 8 hours per day, local media reported.
A copy with the logo of the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited is also going viral on social media which significances to show the new timings for when gas will be available for the consumers, however, the claim is completely false.
Fake News: Households will Get gas Just Three Times Per Day?
The false social media post has been shared more than 17 times and liked 10 times, at the time of writing.
However, the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited, deny reports about the new timings and termed the social media post as fake. Amjad Ikram, the spokesman of the SNGPL and Salman Siddiqui, spokesman of SSGC, rejected claims of any new timings in the winter season.
Similarly, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited has also denied these claims on their official social media accounts.
