AMSTERDAM: A well-known Dutch influencer, public personality, and model, Donnie Roelvink, has converted to Islam.
The 26-year-old embraced Islam on April 19, the video of which has become viral on social media.
Roelvink in his Instagram video message, termed it a special day of his life.
Images of the artist embracing Islam were posted online and widely reported in the media.
He said this was expected to happen as he converted to Islam in the presence of a large group of people.
The Dutch actor has been visiting the mosque to read the holy Quran.
According to Pew Research Center research, Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the world. Between 2015 and 2060, the number of Muslims is expected to reach twice the global population.
