ISLAMABAD: Eating clean, healthy food is extremely important for physical health, and eating fast food can have numerous disadvantages, another recent study has confirmed.

The liver is the most important organ of the human body which keeps the body healthy by performing the important function of the filter, however, the consumption of fast food can affect the functions of the liver and cause fatty liver. This has come out as a result of research.

The liver performs more than 500 functions to maintain the body’s overall health, it plays an important role in your immune system, metabolism, digestive system, and elimination of waste from the body. The liver performs many functions of the body, but its most important role is detoxification, thus keeping the body healthy by ridding it of disease-causing toxins. Fast food lovers may experience liver damage.

 Consumption of fast food on the rise

Nowadays, the consumption of fast food has increased a lot, which is eaten by a large number of people with great enthusiasm, but a new study has revealed its harmful health effects that are linked to fatty liver.

According to research, consuming at least 20 percent of fast food daily calories can increase the risk of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, which can be life-threatening if complicated. People with obesity or diabetes are more prone to the harmful effects of fast food on the liver. According to the experts involved in the research, this study will encourage people to find more nutritious and healthy food options.

Experts involved in the research say that if people eat fast food once a day, they are not damaging the liver. However, if that one meal is at least a fifth of their daily calories, they are putting their liver at risk.
